THOMAS JANKE

Thomas Janke is a Research Associate with Borderlands Research Institute. Thomas coordinates the BRI deer research projects, the BRI Undergraduate Research Program, and the BRI Stewardship Program. Prior to his position with BRI, Thomas earned his MS degree from Sul Ross State University in Range and Wildlife Management. His thesis research focused on the movements and survival of translocated desert bighorn sheep to the Bofecillos Mountains, Texas. Thomas also received a BS in Range and Wildlife Management, with an emphasis in wildlife from Texas A&M University – Kingsville. His research interests include: the relationships between big game and rangeland ecosystems, rangeland ecology and ungulate responses, and ungulate interactions.
