MAYA VAUGHN
Maya is the GIS & Database Specialist at the Borderlands Research Institute. Her responsibilities include spatial geodatabase curation and programming support for research staff and faculty.
Maya is from Grapevine, Texas. She earned her BS in Wildlife Biology from Texas State University. She joined BRI as a graduate student, earning her MS in Range and Wildlife Management at Sul Ross State University. Through her research, she investigated unstudied factors affecting Montezuma quail, such as the effects of feral pigs and extreme weather events on quail populations in the Davis Mountains of West Texas (Jeff Davis Co.).
