Rick is the Administrative Coordinator for the Borderlands Research Institute. He endeavors to support the faculty and students in the research, education, and outreach of the BRI. He holds a BA in History from the University of Texas and a MA in English Literature from Sul Ross State University. He has spent twenty years maintaining dignified homes for low-income families throughout the Texas Big Bend, and is an avid supporter of traditional cultures living within the provisions of their natural environments. He enjoys walks through the wilderness with his son and wife, noting the behaviors and traits of the wildlife.
