JULIA PARRACK

As Grants Coordinator for the Borderlands Research Institute, Julia Parrack helps transform conservation ideas into competitive, fundable projects. She partners with faculty and staff to identify promising opportunities, evaluate their alignment with BRI’s mission, and develop high-quality proposals that strengthen the institute’s research portfolio. Julia also cultivates relationships with BRI’s donors and funding partners, ensuring that shared priorities remain at the heart of each project.

Julia earned her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in 2021. Her academic background in resource management, economic systems, and analytical decision-making provides a strong foundation for supporting complex, interdisciplinary research initiatives. She brings both precision and strategic insight to her work, helping BRI teams navigate the technical and administrative aspects of the grant process.

Originally from the Houston area, Julia has embraced life in West Texas and the sense of purpose that comes with advancing conservation across the region. She is motivated by the opportunity to support projects that strengthen land stewardship, deepen ecological understanding, and contribute to healthier landscapes.

With a collaborative spirit and commitment to BRI’s mission, Julia is a key connector between ideas, resources, and long-term impact.
