JASON CROSBY, BS

Jason Crosby is the Habitat Specialist for the Borderlands Research Institute’s Center for Land Stewardship and Stakeholder Engagement. In this role he provides technical and programmatic assistance to help enable rangeland conservation efforts across the region. Jason is originally from South Carolina, where a childhood spent roaming the Sumpter National Forest developed a deep respect for the natural world and led to a first career spent outdoors. Prior to his position with BRI, he earned a BS in Natural Resource Management with a concentration in Range Management from Sul Ross State University. During his undergraduate career Jason was employed by the Natural Resources Conservation Service as a Rangeland Management Trainee, gaining valuable stewardship knowledge here in the Trans-Pecos. Jason’s position as Habitat Specialist dovetails ideally with his master’s research, which deals with comparative analysis for rangeland monitoring methods.
