Joshua Cross is a Research Associate with Borderlands Research Institute. His primary research focus is with the upland game bird ecology and management program. Prior to the position with BRI, Josh earned his MS degree from Sul Ross State University in Range and Wildlife management. The focus of his thesis research was the survival, movements, and habitat utilization of desert bighorn sheep translocated to the Santiago Mountains, Texas. Josh also received a BS degree from Sul Ross State University in Range and Wildlife Management. During his undergraduate career, Josh was employed by Borderlands Research Institute as a research technician, primarily focused in the pronghorn restoration program. His research interests include habitat utilization and management, upland game bird responses to rangeland management, and species interactions.
